A Flint man had to check his Superstar Cash instant game ticket six times before believing he won $1 million.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at Mr. B’s Supermarket, located at 2510 Fenton in Flint.

“I won $20 on a Cashword ticket early last week and had the money in my pocket,” said the winner. “When I bought my normal Daily 3 and Daily 4 tickets I used the extra $10 to buy a Superstar Cash ticket.

“I don’t usually buy $10 instant game tickets, but the man in front of me at Mr. B’s bought a Superstar Cash ticket and won $10. The man working the counter asked him if he wanted to buy another ticket and he said: ‘No, there’s never two winners in a row.’

“I had a feeling that the next ticket might be lucky, and wow was I right!”

The player visited Lottery headquarters Monday to collect his big prize. He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of $634,517 rather than an annuity.

With his winnings, the player plans to enjoy camping and attending NASCAR races.
