Cub Scout Kicked Out for Asking State Senator About Gun Control + Racial Comments [VIDEO]
Ames Mayfield is an articulate, well-informed little boy. And now he's no longer a cub scout after asking a state senator about gun control and some racially-charged statements she made a few years ago.
The Colorado boy asked State Senator Vicki Marble about comments she made in 2013 about African Americans' diets and how it relates to their health. Then he asked the senator about the accessibility of weapons.
"Why on Earth would you want someone who beats their wife to have access to a gun?"
In an email to KMGH-TV, the boy's mother said he was kicked out of his cub scout troop a few days after the encounter.
