Can't say enough THANK YOUS to everybody who came out on Saturday!

At this point, any day that it doesn't rain is a GOOD day, and we had a GREAT day on Saturday at Skaff Furniture and Carpet One in Flint.

Skaff has been a locally-owned family business for 108 years, and to celebrate this milestone, they wanted to give back to the community that they serve. So, for the last month, they've been collecting food for the animals at the Humane Society of Genesee County.

We capped off the food drive on Saturday with an adoption event parking lot party at Skaff with the Humane Society, Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton, Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue and Pets in Peril. There was food available from Northern Smoke BBQ, games from Ford's Party Rental and a bounce house from The Dunk Tank Company.

We were also happy to welcome Officer Andrew Grocholski from Metro Police Authority of Genesee County and his K-9 Officer Sonitrol!

We had SO MANY ADOPTIONS. Most of the animals who were around at the end of the day were spoken for and needed to be microchipped before they could go home. It was a great day with even more food donations and lots of furrrever homes.
