Ann B. Davis, best know for her role as Alice Nelson on 'The Brady Bunch' has died. Davis was appropriately planted in the center square during the show's opening credits from 1969 to 1974, because she was the known as the glue that held the blended family together.

Davis was born in  Schenectady, New York, went to high school in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1948.

The Emmy-winning actress died from a subdural hematoma, which she suffered after falling in her home. Davis was 88.
