Zayn Malik doesn’t have “a bad word to say” about Taylor Swift‘s new music and new Reputation.

Speaking to The Fader, the former One Direction artist weighed in on Swift’s new video for “Look What You Made Me Do,” particularly its similarities to Beyonce‘s “Formation.”

“I rate her as an artist, I think she’s cool, I think she’s successful, and I think she deserves her success because she’s worked hard,” Zayn said when asked about the controversy.

“I don’t have a bad word to say about her. She’s cool,” he added.
