Nick Campbell is the youngest person who was shot at the Las Vegas massacre which claimed the lives of 58 people and caused injuries for at least 500 more. Campbell, a Saginaw native, is expected to be released from the hospital today. The 16-year old has another connection to one of the most horrific events in US history. He was born on September 11, 2001.

"I have always been able to say that a beautiful thing happened that day because Nick was born," his aunt, Beth Charlton, tells WJRT.

Charlton went on to outline the events that unfolded early Monday morning when she learned of the mass shooting, and that her nephew had been shot.
