A lot of people have been asking how they can help - here's one way.

Believe it or not, donating to federal employees who are going without pay during the shutdown can be tricky. They have ethics codes that they have to follow, which includes accepting "bribes." So technically, anything you give them could be construed as such. We found this out when we donated free lunch to the TSA at Bishop.

Luckily, the airport is working around those rules to help out their employees. You can donate non-perishable food items at the ticket counter until the shutdown is over, anytime between 5 AM and 8 PM to the food pantry that the airport has set up for employees.
