Recently, Rod and I talked about the fact that lots of us hang on to our old cell phones as we upgrade to the latest and greatest. In a recent study it was determined that consumers are sitting on roughly $34 million in old phones. You could sell your used phone, or, as a very smart listener was quick to point out, you could donate that phone to a soldier. We did some research and there are lots of ways to get it done.

Rod and I wish that we had thought of this, but we have great listeners with good ideas, and we are happy to do the follow up that we promised. If you would like to donate your old cell phone to a soldier, there are several websites that you can visit to get it done.
