And he's a Michigan native! Poor pooch. Zeus, the Great Dane from Ostego who held the record for world's tallest dog, has passed away at the age of five.

His owner, vet tech Kevin Doorlag, described him as a "gentle giant." He was used as a therapy dog at local hospitals.

When standing on his hind legs, Zeus was 7 feet 4 inches tall. His owners said that he was commonly mistaken for a horse.

Zeus was just a few days shy of his 6th birthday. Rest in peace, pooch.
