Woman Gouges Eyes Out, Sues Hospital

She actually has a good reason for it, shockingly.

A nurse at a hospital in Los Angeles violated HIPAA laws after taking a picture of a patient who gouged her eyes out with pencils and posted it on the internet.

The patient, an unnamed female, was treated at an L.A. hospital after she tried to commit suicide by jamming pencils into her eyes. The nurse that treated her took a picture of her with the pencils sticking out of her eyes, and then shared it with a friend, who uploaded it to a website. The photo then went viral.

The lawsuit does not specify how much the woman is suing for.
