And this beautiful story is going viral, which makes us smile from one ear to the other. :)

Asia Ford finished third-to-last in Saturday's Rodes Run in Louisville, Kentucky. But if you've ever ran one of these races, you'll know that there is NO last place. And she had the help of Louisville Metro Police Lt. Aubrey Gregory to get her past the finish line.

Asia has struggled with her weight for years, and at one point, tipped the scales at 475 pounds. When her husband lost a limb because of diabetes, she decided to take action, and the race on Saturday was one of her goals. When she started to feel sick at the 4-mile-mark, Lt. Gregory got out of his squad car to help her...and he helped her to the very end.

Here's the full story from the Courier Journal.

As somebody who just ran her first road race, this story made me cry. I love it. Doesn't matter how you do it...just DO IT. Sorry, Nike. Stole your motto.
