I was talking to a friend of mine over the weekend, and during our conversation the topic of exes came up.  She told me that she has been with her new boyfriend for a few months now, yet pictures of her and her ex, that her ex posted, are still on Facebook.

She untagged herself, but the pics are still up.  She asked her ex to delete them because she has moved on from that relationship, and she feels it is disrespectful to her new boyfriend.  He refused saying that it's part of the past and the new guy should understand that.  He added that everyone's lives, past and present, are on social media and he told her to get over it.

I have pretty good relationships with most of my exes so don't think I would ever have this problem.  Then again, I've been with my wife since I started my MySpace page.

So what do you think?  Should her ex take down the photos because she asked, or is he right that our lives are on social media and we have no control over it? In my opinion, you should never put anything online that you won't want to see in a year, 10 years or even 100 years. Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
