West Virginia Hairdresser Goes The Extra Mile for Boy With Autism

She didn't have to, but she did.

In case you didn't already know, a lot of kids on the autism spectrum have sensory issues. Some will only eat certain foods because of their texture, some can't handle loud noises or crowds of any sort. Jennifer McCafferty's son is one of those children.

Isaiah was already having a rough day, but a haircut was on the schedule. She Jennifer took her son to the Sport Clips in Charleston, where Isaiah proceeded to have a meltdown. She says that her son can't stand to have anything near his ears, and hates the sound of clippers.

She said that Kaylen, the stylist, helped him to find a quiet, safe space...which ended up being on the floor. Kaylen didn't mind his screams, and talked about Dory and Christmas with him...even let him squirt her with her water bottle.

If only everybody could have this kind of patience :)
