‘Welcome To Detroit Sign’ Causing A Bit Of Controversy [VIDEO]

Sometimes the truth can be very brutal.

wxyz

The sign shows a barrel of a gun and reads “Welcome to Detroit. Do you feel lucky?” The sign sits on the corner of  8 Mile and Cardoni at a playground. Andre Ventura is the man behind the sign. He says he wants it to get attention.

Some people in the area say it’s not a pretty message, but they say it’s the truth. Others say the sign sends the wrong message and gives the city a bad name. By the way…this sign replaces this one that read “Save Detroit. Adopt a crackhead.” You be the judge..is this guy on to something?
