Weather Channel Defends Reporter Who 'Fought' Hurricane Winds [VI

Not gonna lie - we can't believe that he wasn't fired.

A Weather Chanel reporter named Mike Seidel was the butt of almost every joke this weekend after he was caught on camera, allegedly fighting the insane winds of Hurricane Florence...until two guys just casually stroll by in the background.

For reference, this is what it ACTUALLY looks like, from the same network, when a reporter is getting blown away by hurricane-force winds.

Regardless, The Weather Channel released a statement, defending the veteran meteorologist:

“It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted."

Dude, c'mon. There are many reasons that people don't trust the media nowadays, and this is one of them.
