TV personalities will tell you that their clothing and hairstyles generate more email and social media interaction than anything they report.

Weird, huh?

A weekend weather anchor in Los Angeles was a little surprised, but played along beautifully after several viewers emailed KTLA to say that her black sequined dress was "inappropriate."

Liberte Chan responded in a blog post, noting that she wasn't ordered to cover up, and donning the sweater was simply her way of playing along with the joke.

For the record, I was not ordered by KTLA to put on the sweater.  I was simply playing along with my co-anchor’s joke, and if you’ve ever watched the morning show, you know we poke fun at each other all the time. And, also for the record, there is no controversy at KTLA. My bosses did not order me to put on the cardigan, it was a spontaneous moment..  I truly love my job, I like my bosses and enjoy working with my coworkers.

Chan goes on to say that she never meant to offend anyone.

So, is her dress appropriate for TV? I'll jump in right now, and say I think she looks beautiful!
