Sophie is a very brave, beautiful German Shepard puppy. She was born with a spinal deformity that kept her from walking. Her former owners left her at a local high kill shelter. Read more about Sophie and watch her amazing video story after the jump.

She was rescued by Westside German Shepard Rescue of Los Angeles. Veterinarians discovered a mass on Sophie's spinal chord in her neck. She has been undergoing physical therapy and acupuncture and may have to have surgery, depending on her progress and prognosis.
