The ribbon cutting for Hasselbring Park was yesterday, and they'll be finishing Broome Park on Friday.

Volunteers worked in the heat to finish off the new playground at Hasselbring Park, just off Carpenter Road near Northwestern High School. Construction started last Friday - new swings and slides were installed, as well as an overall cleanup. The project is put on by the United Way, as well as other organizations.

Studies show that, based on our population, we should actually have an additional 36 playgrounds, so this is a good start.

The ribbon cutting was yesterday, which included free pizza for the kids. The group plans to finish up Broome Park, just off Tuxedo Ave.

Thank you to EVERYBODY who is helping to make Flint a better place for all of us!
