Volkslaufe Road Races July 4th In Frankenmuth

It's been a 4th of July tradition for more than 3 decades.  The Volkslaufe (People's race) 5k, 10k and 20k footrace in Frankenmuth.  The races always attract a large and very competitive field of runners and walkers.  The people who live along the race route are nice and always come out to cheer you on! 

The races begin and end in Heritage Park with plenty of parking along Weiss street.  Food and beverages are available in the park after the race.  If you run fast enough, you'll win an authentic German beer stein!  (see photo)  Registration and more info can be had by visiting:  http://www.volkslaufe.org/
