Scott Ziegler, a Michigan firefighter, spent 2012 with a camera mounted on to his helmet, and the resulting video has become an instant internet sensation. That suits Scott just fine. "This video is to show people what it is like to fight fires, and what firefighters across the nation do every day." he says. "The more people who realize, the better it will be for our profession." Watch Scott Ziegler's video after the jump.

Scott Ziegler is a firefighter for the Detroit suburb of Highland Park. Scott scorched his way thru several camera mounts and lenses while filming this unique perspective of the past year's fires as seen from his helmet.

Does Scott's video give you a new appreciation for the work that firefighters do? Who do you think works a more dangerous job, cops or firefighters?
