It was no surprise to us that Flint's former Emergency Financial Manager Darnell Earley would be a no show for today's hearing on Capitol Hill. But the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was outraged.

Jason Chaffetz is the committee chair, and he was furious with Earley, saying, “On Tuesday, I issued a subpoena. Normally these are done electronically with a council of record. His attorney refused service.” Now, he is calling for more force to get results. “We’re calling on the U.S. Marshalls to hunt him down and give him that subpoena.”

Legal analyst Charlie Langton said that if he refuses to testify he'll face a year in prison. Langton added, "If I was representing him, I would say ‘Mr. Early, you get your you know what down to that congressional testimony and say what you know.”

The House Committee is determined to get to the bottom of the Flint Water Crisis, stating that this in not a political issue, it is a moral issue. They have no problem conducting a manhunt for Darnell Earley if need be.
