UPDATE: Mayor Weaver Pays Off Her Outstanding Water Bill

That's all she had to do in the first place, really. 

For the first time in two years, Mayor Karen Weaver's account balance is at 0. She and her husband Wrex, after public shaming for being behind on their water bill, paid up yesterday.

The bill had been sitting at over $500 since July, and the Weavers have a history of allowing their water bills to go unpaid, racking up over $1,000 in overdue fees. Even though their current bill has been paid, records show that they still have over $300 in outstanding charges for an account that is related to their lawn water meter.

This story is dripping with such hypocrisy, it's hard to stomach.
