You are going to freak out if you love unicorns and a day of fun. If not, I'm not sure if we can be friends.

The Treetop Lodge in Oxford is hosting a Unicorn Festival on Saturday, June 25th from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Now, don't think of bringing the kids, because this festival is just for us big kids, adults. Connie Miller, the Treetop Lodge manager and festival coordinator explains:

Let's face it, life is wall-to-wall stress for a lot of folks. Going to work every day, raising kids, paying bills, running errands. It seems like it never ends. That's why why created the Unicorn Festival to give adults a break. Adults should be able to have at least one day this summer to call their own.

So, what exactly is a Unicorn Festival and why should you be super excited about this? Here's a few of the events that are on the itinerary:

  • Unicorn Wedding - Yep, a couple is actually getting married and you are invited. Free wedding cake for all!
  • Wine Sampling & Appetizers - Lead by a certified sommelier and owner of Oxford Wine & Beverage  Co., Dean Rondy.
  • Craft Beers, Hand-rolled Cigars & Sweet Treats - Dean Rondy, owner of Oxford Wine & Beverage Co., hosts this treat.
  • Unicorn Games - Think 'Field Day' when you were in Elementary School. All proceeds will go directly to the K-9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford.

This sounds like so much fun! Most of these events are pay as you go, but you can get an all day pass that includes some of these activities for $70 in advance. Make sure to call Connie Miller at the Treetop Lodge in Oxford at 248-933-4579 to get yours.
