I can't carve a pumpkin and make it look halfway decent on land, under the best of conditions, and with an expert-pumpkin carver giving me step-by-step instructions.

And these people can do it underwater.

A group of scuba divers of all ages gathered on Sunday (10/14) to carve pumpkins 30 feet underwater. Here's the problem:  Pumpkins are naturally buoyant.

A pair of brothers impressed the judges with their dolphin and half-moon cutout carvings to take the top prize. Other entries included a shark, a seahorse, an ell, and a sea turtle.
