Tweets and messages to University of Michigan football player Blake O'Neill after the dropped ball that cost the Wolverines the game on Saturday have ranged from rather innocuous -- "You had one job" -- to those that actually threatened the kicker's life.

Michigan’s Athletic Director Jim Hackett was not at all happy about the situation. He released an open letter to Wolverine fans that said in part;

“Today I awake to the shocking reality that our community, who care so much about this program, would send hurtful, spiteful and vicious comments to one of our students. To be clear, such comments come from a small minority, none of whom are reflective of our institution.”

Please repeat after me:  "It's. Just. A. Game."
