Today, I sent in my first of many payments to the University of Michigan Flint, as my sons begin their college careers. Today also marks the 60th anniversary of the Flint institution, and a free community-wide celebration will commemorate the occasion.

Tonight (9/8) at 8 pm, U of M Flint will celebrate its anniversary in the Flat Lot, at the corner of Kearsley and Saginaw streets.

The event will include brief remarks from Chancellor Susan E. Borrego and Regent Michael J. Behm as well as several outstanding performances, including a special appearance of the U-M Marching Band, a light show spectacular projected onto the C.S. Mott Foundation Building, and cake.
