University of Michigan engineering students can only begin to imagine the huge implications of their new development. What keeps them up at night is the thought that this could end up in the wrong hands.

The video below was posted recently on the college website to showcase a "cloaking spray" being developed by University of Michigan engineering students.

The video caption reads "It sprays on clear and dries invisible. Once dry, it guides light around an object, causing it to become transparent.

Listen as the budding engineers explain below.

We might be able to make ourselves invisible someday, but not with this.

The video was an April's Fool prank that a lot of people fell for. I was convinced.

Apparently, this is an annual tradition with U of M's engineering students.
