Have the kids track Santa's journey by clicking here!  NORAD, the North American Aerospace Command, began tracking Santa's progress by accident in 1955!  Read more to see the whole story.

A Sears advertisement in a Colorado Springs newspaper printed a telephone number for children to call, in order to find out Santa's whereabouts.  The number printed in the ad was incorrect, and children wound up calling the Continental Air Defense Command Center.  The colonel on duty encouraged his staff to play along, and give children an update on Santa's journey!

These days, NORAD's info is featured on many TV weather reports, you can find it on Facebook, the Internet, and even via mobile phone.
