You've Got Mail:  Dog Poop.

Residents of the Spanish town of Brunete, located about 20 miles from Madrid, may have been a bit shocked when they opened some rather disgusting smelling packages. The town council concocted the plan to crackdown on forgetful pet owners who neglected to clean up after their pooches.

Town officials told The Telegraph that 20 volunteers were enlisted to approach dog owners who didn't clean up after their pets after they took care of business on public property. The volunteers would strike up a conversation in order to find out the dog's name.

"With the name of the dog and the breed it was possible to identify the owner from the registered pet database held in the town hall."

Upon confirmation of the owner's name, the poop was scooped up, and delivered to the owner's home.

The packages contained the town's insignia, and the words, "Lost Property."
