Tomorrow is “Bad Poetry Day”

Let's face it.  If you've attempted to write poetry at any time in your life, it was probably bad.  Writing quality poetry is not easy.  August 18th is a day set aside for bad poets everywhere.  National Bad Poetry Day is a day for those who cannot write their way out of a wet paper bag.

The creators of this special day also recommend that you write something and send it to your former English teacher.  They probably haven't done anything to deserve that.  They had to read the crap you wrote when you were a freshman.

Some of us are lucky.  We get paid to write badly every day.
