Time To Sign Up For YMCA Santa Run

The 2nd annual YMCA of Greater Flint Santa Run will take place on December 3rd at noon at the downtown Flint YMCA. The Santa Run/Walk is a charity event featuring a 5k and 1 mile route around downtown Flint. Last year, approximately 800 Santas stampeded through Flint in the inaugural running. As one of them, I thought it was pretty cool! Registration is now open, and if you sign up before November 12th you beat the price increase. Each entry includes a 5-piece Santa Suit.
Proceeds for the Santa Run benefit the YMCA of Greater Flint Partner With Youth Campaign. Cost for early registration is just $25 (that includes the Santa Suit that is yours to keep). After Nov 12 it goes up to $30.

You can also donate some Christmas cheer by giving a toy for Toys for Tots or a pair of used shoes for Carriage Town Ministries. By doing so, you will be entered into a special prize drawing for running apparel and shoes.
