The Detroit Tigers had a winning record when Seattle came to town three days ago.  After failing in three attempts to defend thier home turf against the Mariners, the Tabbies find themselves a game under .500

7-2 was the score of today's loss, the Tigers scoring their two in the second inning.  The lead was short lived as Seattle came back the next inning to tie the score.  Brad Penny pitched 7 innings and gave up 4 runs, but got no help from the Tiger hitters who could only manage 5 hits.

The going gets tougher this weekend as the Tigers head to Cleveland for a three-game series with the first place Indians.  Then it's back home for four games with the New York Yankees.  Let's hope the Tiger hitters wake up sometime soon.  This weekend would be good.
