You had to stay up late to see most of action in this one, but it was worth it!  Miguel Cabrera hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth to tie the game up at 1-1 to send it into extra innings.

After that, the Tigers started hitting and the A's helped them with some errors.  Once the dust had settled the Tigers had won their 4th in a row, 8-4.  Rick Porcello had his strongest start of the season, working 6 innings and only giving up one run.  The victory evens the Tiger record on the 2011 season at 7-7 and gave manager Jim Leyland his 1500th career win.

Justin Verlander starts for the Tigers tonight at Oakland, hoping to give Detroit a rare road series win.  You might actually see more of this game as it starts at 9 pm instead of 10.  Unless they play extra....

Go Tigers!
