The Tigers had the lead until the 7th inning last night.  Too bad baseball games are nine innings.  Baltimore came up with 5 runs in the 7th and beat the Tigers 9-5 continuing Detroit's road woes.  The good news?  Our home opener is today at Comerica Park.

First pitch is scheduled for just after 3 pm, weather permitting.  The Tigers limp home with a 2-4 record so far which has many of us fans thinking "here we go again".  Last year the Tigers finished 81-81.  At home we rocked!  52-29.  Unfortunately, our road record was the mirror image of the home stats.  29-52  It's still early, but for the Tigers to be contenders for the postseason they need to be able to win at home and on the road.

Kansas City is 4-2 and currently in first place in the American League Central Division.  That's who the Tigers play today and this weekend.  Time for the Motor City Kitties to grow some claws.
