Detroit's Phil Coke is Seattle's favorite pitcher.  The Mariners have only scored 85 runs so far this season, 13 have come in 2 games when they faced the Tigers and Coke was pitching.  To make matters worse, the Tigers haven't  beaten Mariner starter Felix Hernandez in quite some time.

Things looked good at first, as Detroit got to Hernandez for a run in the opening inning  to take the lead.  The next inning, things started to go south for the Tigers as a line drive that should have been a double off the bat of Miguel Olivo bounced off Ryan Rayburn's glove and over the fence for a home run.  Phil Coke and the Tigers just never seemed to recover after that, and went on to lose 7-3.  Felix Hernandez is now 7-0 in his last eight starts against Detroit.  The loss ends the Tigers 4-game winning streak.  The last time the Tigers lost a game?  When Phil Coke pitched in Seattle last week.

The Tigers can try for some revenge tonight when they send Justin Verlander to the mound against the Mariners in a 7:05 game at Comerica Park.
