Amy Chua is a mom known as "The Tiger', who raises her two daughters in a very strict way.  She wants her kids to be perfect and actually defends her parenting. Her daughters, Sophia and Louisa, were never allowed to go to a sleepover, have a play date, be in a school play, or even get any grade less than an A.  They could only play the piano or violin and had to be the number one student in every subject, except gym and drama.

Chua thinks this type of parenting will make her daughters perfect and successful.  She also goes on to say that you should never compliment your children in public and your children must be two years ahead of their classmates in math.  You can read part of her blog here.

What do you think?  Is she too strict?  Do you agree with her approach?
