Could you imagine knowing that you (or your student) attend one of the worst schools in the state? That's a pretty hard pill to swallow. Is there hope? The answer is an undeniable yes!

In 2010, three Mid-Michigan schools were placed on the state's troubled schools list. The two Genesee County schools, Hamady High in Flint and E-A- Johnson High in Mt. Morris, along with Saginaw's Thompson Middle School were ranked among the lowest 5% of schools in the state.

This year, all three schools were removed from the troubled schools list. The teachers have really stepped things up, and need to be commended. Their efforts can be seen in their students' grades! Great job, teachers!
