Three Michigan Coaches Inducted to Special Olympics Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Sheila Gafney, Val Suszko, and Dave Pruder!

Sheila is an adaptive physical education teacher at Genesee Intermediate School District's Elmer Knopf Learning Center, and is a Special Olympics volunteer in her free time. She took the Area 13 volleyball team to the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in L.A., where they won a gold medal.

Dave Pruder is a track and field coach for the Special Olympics from the Bay/Arenac counties area, and Val Suszko is the Lansing area's special education athletic coordinator for Holt Public Schools.

And all three of them were inducted into the Special Olympics Michigan Hall of Fame on Saturday. Congratulations to all! Well deserved!
