The Lunch Studio on Saginaw Street could close unless a financial goal is reached. For 12 years, the Lunch Studio has welcomed guests to enjoy a home-cooked meal. The downtown Flint deli has become a popular destination for area professionals and residents.
. The owners of the building that contains the Lunch Studio want to sell it. Whelpey needs to come up with $25,000 for a down payment on a loan to buy the building. Without her knowledge, Whelpey's friends launched an online campaign to raise that money. They've already raised $4,300.
