The World’s Scariest, Most Dangerous Rollercoaster?

The Swarm
COURTESY OF THORPE PARK

You’ve felt the G-forces before if you are a coaster fan, but how much force can a roller coaster really exert and still be safe? An Air Force fighter pilot called it “gut wrenching”. It literally ripped the limbs off of crash test dummies during testing.  Now, a new roller coaster in England called The Swarm” will leave the choice to the public when it opens in a couple of week at Thorpe Park..

The winged design is the key difference. The Swarm will travel at a top speed of 62 miles per hour, but the big difference is that riders end up sitting away from the track — with nothing above or below them, and that makes every twist and turn more intense.
