All of the puppies are expected to be just fine!

Yesterday afternoon, firefighters in Bremerton, Washington (located in Kitsap County, about 90 minutes west of Seattle) were called to a residential fire. A neighbor had called and said that there might be puppies trapped inside.

When firefighters arrived, the first and second floors were on fire. Four puppies were found on the second floor of the house. They were taken outside, put into a kiddie pool and given oxygen.

I know that it's their job, and that we'd all expect them to do it, being firefighters. But I thought it was sweet, and it showed a true empathy for animals. "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated." ~Mahatma Gandhi

And that, my friends, is the good news!
