The Good News: Ronda Rousey Keeps Promise, Attends Marine Corps Ball [PHOTO]
Jarrod Haschert said that she made his "dream come true."
Back in August (can you believe it was that long ago?), Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert posted a video from Camp Lejeune, asking Ronda Rousey to go the Marine Corps Ball in December with him.
"I love everything you do, and I think you are a phenomenal person," he said. "Which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11. I hope you take this in consideration because, if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true."
At first, it looked like it wasn't going to happen. Ronda's fight with Holly Holm was originally scheduled for January, which would mean that she'd be training in December. But the fight was moved to November, which opened up her schedule.
She was photographed returning to Los Angeles, and told TMZ, "I promised I would go. It's an honor to be asked."
She also said that she needed to get out of the house, otherwise she'd probably be drowning herself in ice cream. Nice to hear that she deals with defeat the same way the rest of us do!
