A Connecticut police officer got a heartwarming, handwritten letter from a 9-year-old boy.

New London officer Anthony Nolan injured his knee while on duty two weeks ago. When he came home to recover, he found a handwritten note taped to his door.

“It was just odd, you know. Got it, read it, almost started crying,” Nolan said.

The note was from a 9-year-old boy that he had met two years prior. He's been reading to the boy and other children, and he's made a personal connection with each child. Part of the note said, "I don’t have a dad…only you read to me.”
The note came with some drawings, and coffee money so that Officer Nolan could "get better."
Swoon. Adorable. Kids know how to make us feel better.
