The nostalgia is real and the wait is almost over. Tuesday the trailer dropped for the highly anticipated Beverly Hills 90210 reboot.

That infamous theme song was heard coming from televisions in the wee hours as morning shows debuted the teaser trailer starring the original cast.

In the trailer, we see Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling going about their morning business when ordinary morning noises seem to be playing the tune to the show’s theme song. The trailer ends with the cast congregating at a soundstage and striking a dramatic pose, which is very 90210-ish to those of us that remember the original show.

The original show was basically a cult staple that defined the '90s having run for ten seasons from 1990 through 2000. In 2019 Fox announced a six-episode revival of the show which will be called BH90210. All the original cast members will be returning except for Luke Perry who passed away in March after suffering a massive stroke. Perry was not scheduled to join the cast of the reboot, but who was purportedly going to make a few guest appearances as his popular character Dylan McKay.

The big question for all of the die hard 90210 fans is what will be the plot? Do they pick right up where they left off? Are the lovers still lovers and the enemies still enemies? In an interview with Access Live promoting the newly charged show, co-creator Tori Spelling (she is joined by Jennie Garth in breathing new life into the show) said, “It is the O.G. crew back together and we are playing a heightened version of ourselves.”

Let the countdown begin. BH90210 premieres on FOX Wednesday, August 7.
