The Tenth Anniversary season of Flint's 'Shakespeare in the Park' returns this week to Kearsley Park before heading to other parks throughout Genesee County.

This year's production - Merry Wives of Windsor - features themes including love and marriage, jealousy and revenge, social class and wealth. With irony, sarcasm and more, these themes will help to give the play something closer to a modern-day view than is often found in Shakespeare's plays.

Shakespeare in the Park opens at Kearsley Park with performances Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and an afternoon matinee on Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission for all shows are free. For more information on these shows and then others to follow throughout Genesee County, go to www.kearsleyparkplayers.com.
