Teen’s Piano Solo at Lansing Mall Goes Viral [VIDEO]

Monntel West was just looking to kill some time, waiting for his friend to join him at the Lansing Mall. The 18-year-old high school senior sat down at a piano in the mall's concourse, and drew a crowd almost immediately.

The nearly 2-minute video went viral soon after Lansing resident Sara Hadley posted it to Facebook.

West has remained humble, after becoming an internet sensation. He tells the Lansing State Journal that he taught himself to play piano, and hopes to take music classes when he goes to school in the fall.

"If I did get lessons, I think I could be better," West told the paper. "You can always get better."
