Singer Snooze: Harry Belafonte Naps on News [VIDEO]

Harry Belafonte had a chance to promote his new memoir, "My Song" on Bakersfield California TV station KBAX, but he never got around to it. It appears that he fell asleep.

 

Take a look for yourself after the jump. Since the video has been making its way around the Internet, his publicist Kristin Clifford says Belafonte was just resting his eyes. She claims the 84-year-old singer was unable to hear the anchor because of a technical glitch.

Riiiiiiiiight.

Local Reporter Almost Gets Run Over By Car and Five Other Correspondent Accidents [VIDEOS]

Ben Higgins, the sports director for San Diego's ABC affiliate, was in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday, where he covered San Diego State University's first ever NCAA tournament victory.

But what made his report so memorable was the part when a SUV darn near ran him over as the cameras rolled. Luckily for Higgins, the vehicle stopped just in the nick of time.

Since videos of television reporters actually being struck by things are fun too, we've included a bunch those after the video of Higgins' close call.
