Her name is Venus, and after a video of her on Youtube went viral, she was invited to make an appearance on NBC's the Today Show. She is absolutely striking, completely real according to her veterinarian.
For months, NBC has been denying reports that Matt Lauer will leave its morning talk fest "Today." But rumors have persisted, and "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest is said to be the first choice of some Peacock executives as a replacement.
However, there are two major roadblocks.
Meredith Vieira confirmed this morning that she is leaving her post at 'Today' in June, ending weeks of rumors and speculation.
"After months of personal reflection and private conversations between my family and my friends, I've decided to leave Today in June," she said.
Looks like Meredith Vieira is leaving the 'Today' show once her contract is up in September. Meredith says she's tired of the demanding early morning hours and is ready to move on. NBC is doing everything they can to keep her on. If she really does leave, Ann Curry is expected to take her place...
