A few weeks ago it was announced that Boston Bruins player Tim Thomas was returning home to Davison and bringing along the Stanley Cup. The day has finally come where people have flocked to Davison High School for a chance to see Tim. The Flint Journal reports the event honoring him will start at 1pm.

For those of you familiar with Davison native Tim Thomas, you may want to know that he'll be returning to Davison with the Stanley Cup in a few weeks, according to WNEM. The Boston Bruins MVP will be here on August 24 for a special public celebration.

Davison High School graduate Tim Thomas helped lead the Boston Bruins to their first Stanley Cup Championship in 39 years. Not only did Thomas play brilliantly in goal against the Vancouver Canucks, but he was named the Most Valuable Player of the series. Thomas recorded his second shutout of the series with a 4-0 game seven win. It was the first Stanley Cup Championship for Boston since 1972.
