The home of the Doritos Locos Taco may be introducing a new breakfast item that just might not be all that loco.
If you spend a lot of time with high school students you should be pretty well acquainted with Taco Bell.
Which is why it's surprising that the delicious fast food was able to cause so much confusion at Del Campo High School in Sacramento, California.
Soon, the line between Taco Bell and Doritos will become even more blurry, and we hope delicious!
If you are a fan of Taco Bell, then prepare to celebrate! An upgrade to Taco Bell's popular fourth meal coming on March 8th, will combine their tacos with a shell made of Doritos. Yum! They’re calling it ‘Doritos Locos.’
From the restaurant chain that brought you "fourthmeal", i.e. the meal that people who just closed down the bars and need some grease to soak up the alcohol, comes something to appeal to a new customer base. Breakfast. Or as Taco Bell calls it, "Firstmeal." The 11-item breakfast menu took five years to develop, and will roll out next week in 750 stores in 10 states. Ohio is the closest state (to Michigan) to get the first peek at "Firstmeal", but the chain plans to have it nationwide in the near future.
I'll admit it; I have been known to ring the bell now and then, as in Taco Bell. Why not it's very cheap, tasty and most locations are open 24 hours. According to several reports, it appears that Taco Bell has begun testing Doritos Locos Tacos, a new menu item. Read more and check out the video after the jump.
Honestly, I don't care WHAT the beef is made of!
In addition to this YouTube video, the company has taken out full-page ads in some major U.S. publications, with big bold letters, stating: "Thank you for suing us", in an attempt at damage control after recent allegations that their beef doesn't qualify to be called, um, beef.
No matter what's in there, my biggest challenge is passing a Taco Bell, without stopping!
